Elegant Prime Rib Dinner to be Served at Local United Methodist Church
“Bring on Spring” with Family and Friends
As we say goodbye to winter and anticipate spring, Washington’s Christ United Methodist Church (UMC) is offering an elegant prime rib dinner with all the trimmings to the first one hundred twenty who reserve their spot at this exclusive fundraising event. Featuring a delicious menu of prime rib, twice baked potato, glazed carrots, salad, roll, dessert and drink, the sit-down “Bring on Spring” dinner will be held on the evening of Saturday, March 1 in the church’s spacious Fellowship Hall. The entrances on Meridian Street and Walnut Street will open at 5:30 PM. Dinner service begins at 6:15 PM.
The meal, starring prime rib of beef, is designed to be a real palate-pleaser that should chase away the winter doldrums. Head chef Joe Singleton promises that all the love going into preparing and serving this meal will be the perfect antidote for cabin fever. “It’s a great opportunity for you to treat yourselves to a night out, relax, and let us do the cooking, the service and all the clean-up.”
Tickets are $40 per person. Reservations for the dinner are guaranteed only after payment is made. For those who wish to enjoy the meal in the company of others, diners can request to be seated at a table with those of their choosing by prior arrangement.
Tickets are available through church members or by contacting the church office at 812-254-3864. An electronic payment option is available (Venmo - @ChristUnited-47501) for those who prefer to purchase online. The deadline for purchase is Tuesday, February 25.
Prefer a quiet evening at home? A limited number of carry-out meals will also be available for pick-up after 7 PM by prior arrangement.
